My daughter only went to Shipley Lane once for a riding party - she actually learnt to ride at Townfoot Stables in Shilbottle, screenshot of their website below.  The Village Farm Health Club and Spa are a few minutes up the road.

You can ride on the beach with Slate Hall at Seahouses.
