- Northern Lights
We are lucky to be able to see  'The Northern Lights' locally when there is a geomagnetic storm as we have so little light pollution.

The aurora was all over the county on Thursday night - this photo of Warkworth Castle northern lights was taken by Dru in the early hours on Thursday 27 February 2014 - see https://www.facebook.com/drudoddphotography?fref=ts or http://www.drudodd.com if you would like to buy a print or see  more  of his work.
